You shouldn't, because it is too harsh for their skin. You should use cat shampoo, or if you don't have any cat shampoo, you can use baby shampoo, but not dish soap nor regular human shampoo for adults.
You can use any form of shampoo or liquid soap; even dishwashing liquid will work. Your dog will never know! They can't read the labels.

You would use hand dish soap. Because auto dish soap has bleach in it. The bleach would kill every thing. And the bleach is a poison.

Sorry, soap and shampoo are made for baths and showers. Not hot tubs. You should take a shower before entering a hot and be sure to rinse well as to not bring in any soapy residue.
