no, and there would be little benefit if you could as the access times for the HDD are not comparable to that of RAM
Its a computer harddrive yu idiots.
You just partition the Hard drive not the RAM.
No. They are not copied to the computer's harddrive. Just the destination drive gets the files.
That would be virtual memory. Its when your the excess data is stored on your harddrive. A section of your harddrive is reserved for this purpose. Though virtual memory isn't as fast as normal RAM.
A simpler way instead of index setting is to simply use your harddrive or a USB as extra RAM
The harddrive is the size of a standard notebook harddrive not a PC size harddrive. So you can not fit it in the smaller spot required for the notebook size harddrive
<harddrive or ram cuz 1g is nothing if its a harddrive...> Where do these people come from? that's a terrible answer. Either SLAX, which can run off of 16 mb of ram and takes only 128 or so MB of space. Or Knoppix, which you can only boot from CD.
No, RAM is never permanent memory. It's the random memory that is cleared out. The OS is always stored in the actual harddrive of a device.
very good
Random Access Memory is digital and therefore much quicker at loading then an optical drive. To get the best of both worlds (speed loading, storage capacity) you must opt for an expensive Solid State Harddrive. Which is essentially just a huge chunk of Ram coded for use as a harddrive. Hope that helps?
You can use a standard Laptop harddrive not a PC harddrive see related link
Most likely has something to do with your video card or the amount of ram you have. Try clearing some space on your harddrive.
