It depends on the bed. If it has two slots on each side for the bedrails, then depending on which slots you use, you will be able to use a full or queen mattress with it. If it only has one set of slots for rails, then you can only use one size. A queen size bed is 6" wider than a full size. If you have an over sized headboard and use a bedframe and don't attach the bedframe to the headboard, you could probably get away with it without anybody noticing.

Unfortunately, there is no converter to convert a queen to a king. The reason- there is too much difference in width between a king and a queen- 16 inches to be exact. The overhang would be 8 inches on each side, which would not only a little weird, but there would be no good way of making it stable enough to support king size bedding. (Full to Queen size conversion works, because the difference in width is much smaller, only 6 inches, so there are only 3 inches overhang on each side, which is practically unnoticeable.)

I'm not sure about the exact sizes but if you just strap the two corners together with the other bed, and put a kingsize matress in, I'm sure it'd be the same

Is there something to use to make two twin bed mattresses into a king size bed?

Two twin size mattresses can easily be joined using a create-a-king twin doubling system. The create-a-king essentially belts the two twin mattresses securely together and it also has a foam filler for the "crack" between the two mattresses. Now, the two twin mattresses won't be quite as long as a standard king size. Standard king size beds measure approximately 80" long, while standard twin beds measure 75" long. This should really be no problem and you can usually still use king size mattress pads and sheets. You can also use a regular king size metal bed frame for the two twin box springs.
