The PS3 can operate a combined total of 7 headsets/controllers/other accessories and the Game determines how many can operate at the same time.
Yes you can, but it is kind of tricky. First, buy a USB to 3.5mm adapter. Next, buy two 3.5mm "Y" adapters (one for the mic and one for the audio). Last, buy two 3.5mm wired headsets and connect them all together. This will allow two players to chat with other on-line players at the same time. This does not work for game sounds or audio from other media like movies, only for chat. Unfortunately, this does not work for USB headsets or Bluetooth headsets.
Yes, the Turtle Beach P12 headsets do work with the PS3 console.

PC headsets can work on the PS3, but compatibility may vary depending on the headset's design and connection type. Most headsets with a standard 3.5mm audio jack can be used with the PS3, as the console has a compatible audio output. However, USB headsets typically won’t work unless they are specifically designed for PS3 or have compatible drivers. Always check the headset specifications for compatibility before attempting to use them with a PS3.
There are headsets on sale at multiple stores that enable voice communication on the ps3.

I believe you have to connect it under device settings under the settings menu. As headsets are connected this way, if its wireless or not. If its wired, the USB port will generally pickup the device and automatically bring up the register device menu. Please note: YOU WILL NEED AN ORIGINAL PS3 CONTROLLER TO DO THIS PROCESS
