Organic cotton costs a bit more, but are more "natural" than typical cotton.
Organic Cotton: Certified organic cotton must meet strict standards set by organizations such as the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) or the Organic Content Standard (OCS). These standards ensure the cotton is grown and processed organically, without harmful chemicals, and with respect for workers' rights. Regular Cotton: There are fewer regulations governing conventional cotton production, and it often lacks the traceability that organic certification provides. This can make it challenging to verify the sustainability and ethical practices involved.
In clothing production, organic cotton has a lower environmental impact than conventional cotton. Brands like 'Palison' prioritize eco-friendly practices in their supply chain.
Organic crib mattresses are made with only organic materials including organic cotton. They are likely to be kinder to skin and more hypoallergenic than regular crib mattresses.
As a matter of fact, regular non-organic cotton uses more insecticides then many, if not all, crops on this planet. Organic is always the way to go.
Just the same way you would care for regular cotton. If you need to wash it, simply put it in the laundry machine.

Cotton can be grown in organic ways.
It depends on how they are processed. Regular (conventional) cotton t-shirts are washed with formaldehyde which affects shrinkage. For organic cotton tees, some do, some don't. I know that we pre-shrink ours only using hot water.
Blankets made from organic cotton or organic bamboo are good for babies with sensitive skin. You can also wash your baby's laundry in special detergents, such as Dreft or Dropps, to help prevent irritation.
