sure you can. The real question is can you stomach the pain? Look it up on YouTube and watch the dudes scream in pain.
You could try baby oil/mineral oil. Most wax products come with a similar type of oil in order to remove any residue on the skin after waxing.
My hair dresser has told me to avoid Pantene because it leaves a waxy build up on the hair and scalp. But she also said that if you really wanted to use it, to use a clarifying shampoo once a week to remove the build up from your hair and scalp.

Damage to your scalp
A scalp that is oily
It is where your scalp got sun burned and is peeling or you have dandruff and your scalp is flaking
If you shave your head and burn your scalp with acid, then obviously it will damage your scalp.
* put ice on the wax. it will harden and crack off. * when I wax someones brows with hard wax it can sometimes get into the hair. I always use baby oil on my finger and work it into the waxy area and the wax just slips away. Melting the wax off the hair will work to an extent but it does not get all the wax. it also burns the scalp because u have to get the water or heat hot enough to melt the wax which is too hot for the skin. Just try baby oil next time you get wax in your hair. * Use olive oil and saturate the wax with it. This softens it up, so you can pull the gummy wax out. * Heat wax with a hairdryer, blotting with paper towels or brown paper bag as it melts. This way you don't end up with re-dried wax clogging your tub pipes!
Your scalp may sometimes get very dry, when this occurs it becomes itchy and with a scratch it may feel good but you may be cutting your scalp with out any pain, thus causing your scalp to have scaps...
Scalp sores can often result from an itchy flaky scalp, where skin is starting to scale and peel off. This, particularly if combined with shampoo that is irritating the scalp, can lead to needing to scratch one's scalp to alleviate this. In doing so, the scalp can become inflamed and lead to sores.
There are no muscles in the human scalp.
