Flies are protein and fine for the occasional crunchy snack for the cat. Some flies apparently taste better than others as most cat owners know. The slow iridescent bluebottle fly is a favorite "prey" for house cats but often spit out when caught. Regular small house flies when captured are consumed and enjoyed with no ill effects on the victorious hunter. Wasps and bee's do fight back but are often mistaken as flies until the cat learns to recognize them. Praise your cat for its skill and cunning as protector of the household.

∙ 9y agoCats can become ill from insect bites if they are allergic or if their is an infective agent. Symptoms could include dry soon, vomiting, and scratching.

∙ 9y agoYour cat will not get sick if he eats a stink bug. Most likely, the cat will just play with the stink bug and not eat it, but if he does it will be OK.

If your cat eats a stink bug it will most likely get sick because when a stink bug gets disturbed or scared it will let out a really bad odor. even if it gets crushed
