Salt water is no worst than the ocean, but if levels exceed 100 grams/liter, like the Dead Sea or Great Salt Lake, you need to wash off as it will be uncomfortable.

∙ 8y agoNo. You do not get any problem to your eyes, by swimming in salt water pool. The amount of chlorine that has to be added to disinfect the water is very less. Only few parts per million. It is not totally safe. But there is nothing on the earth that is 'totally safe'. The other options are not to go for swimming or do it in unsafe and infected water. The concentrated chlorine is very dangerous to your eyes. Salt water from the sea is harmless to your eyes, if it is clean and filtered.
