I am a nurse and have worked with an ob/gyn for ten years and i have seen a "fallen" uterus many times. This is due to pelvic relaxation. Pelvic relaxation is mostly caused by childbirth. Your pelvic floor muscles become weak and are unable to hold your uterus in place, instead it falls out. You can literally feel and see it. This can be surgically fixed.
Crunches and sit ups do not cause the uterus to drop or fall directly. This may happen if weight is lost.
