You do not state the year of your Renault. Unless it is a very early model, It may not have a carburetor to find. It will have a fuel injection system instead.
I assume new means the latest mk iv. Just had the same problem and had to purchase a special wiring loom from renault to fit the towbar electrics. Not a difficult job but if you don't fancy it, ask your local towbar fitter, he may be able to help. Otherwise you could fork out a fortune and get renault to do it for you. Probably not what you wanted to hear.
I am trying to find this out too. All research suggests that you cant. An expensive shame.
