I'm 11 and I know this question......England
Captain James Cook claimed Australia for Great Britain in 1770. His exploration and mapping of the eastern coast led to the establishment of British interest in the continent, ultimately resulting in the colonization of Australia beginning in 1788. Cook's journey marked a significant moment in the history of European exploration in the Pacific.
Australia was colonised by the British. The British government sent a fleet of convicts and officers to colonise the land that Captain James Cook had named and claimed as "New South Wales".

until Captain Cook found Australia, nobody except the indigineous Australians knew that it was a country. So in some ways it was a country and in others not really.
At one time, England claimed the eastern seaboard of the USA.
Australia is a country. The European Union is not a country. It is an organisation that has 27 countries as members.
They are claimed by Argentina.
No European country is near Australia. Europe is on the other side of the world.
that question is easy. the europeans 'founded Australia' well the aboriginals were here first but then because the aboriginals hadn't actually claimed the land captain cook came along with his European buddies and claimed it. there are some pirks and disadvantages of this one perk is that now Australia is civilised and is a multi cultural country a dis advantage is that the aboriginals get special treatment by the government but i guess that is okay. but that's my opinion. the europeans brought their people and then the families started taht's why most of australians are europeans.
Spain is the European country that first claimed Oklahoma. Oklahoma was granted statehood on November 16, 1907. Today, the state's population is estimated to be 3. 815 million.
