On a front wheel drive that is called torque steer. Its normal and you are probably shifting hard at high rpms when this occurs.
If stick shift jumps outta second gear is it okay to drive the car?
There could be two reasons for this. The first is the transmission is completely out and the second is the linkage in the transmission is broken.
Transmission problem, you have to replace or get it repaired.
Take the parking Brake off? lolol
Because that's all it can shift. It starts in first. The first shift puts the car in second, and the second shift puts it in third.
the new cars gear will not move unless the car is running
The tranmission is usally the of the cause of a car not shfting right.
Not sure of the question, but if your car is less than 7 yrs old, apply the brake first, then you can move the shift selector.
no
either your shift sensor is bad or the tranny is shot
If would not be bad for a car engine to shift from third to second gear if you are traveling at 30mph.
There are two speed sensors for this car. One is located in the transmission an the transmission needs removed to replace it. An the other sensor is located right above the passenger side trans axle "CV Shaft". This one tells the car when to shift an also tell the car's speedometer what to read. if this one is bad it will cause the car to shift hard an sometimes not at all. it will act like its stuck in first gear an not want to shift into second or over drive.
