When one has a bad cosmetic surgery, one looks worse than one did before the surgery. Some examples of plastic surgery gone horribly wrong are Michael Jackson and Donatella Versace.
Sometimes the surgeon who did the mastectomy can recommend a plastic surgeon. I had my reconstruction " tram flap" done by a plastic surgeon who is also a hand surgeon , he specilized in reconstruction and micro vascular surgery but also does facelifts and other plastic surgery. I had gone to 3 plastic sugeons for consultation, all were recommended, and picked the one that spend the most time with me, answered all my questions, explained everything in detail, pros and cons of the type of procedure I wanted.

One of the most sought after plastic surgery is rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty performed on some individuals decrease the size of the nose; on other individuals, this type of plastic surgery increases the size of the nose. When the size of the nose is increased, the plastic surgeon uses nose implants to increase or enhance the bridge or the projection tip of the nose. This type of procedure often gives the nose a more slender and elegant appearance. Reasons for Plastic Surgery Plastic surgery can be used to repair birth defects, deformities caused by diseases, trauma and repeat surgeries. Rhinoplasty in particular corrects irregularities that cause the face to appear imbalanced. A plastic surgeon may use nasal implants to give prominence to a nose that may be causing the face to appear less proportioned. Initial Consultation Before undergoing plastic surgery candidates for the surgery usually meet with the surgeon to discuss the procedure. Some of the items discussed will flush out whether the individual is an ideal candidate for the surgery. For example, individuals who are attempting to look like someone else may not necessarily be ready for plastic surgery. In any event, the surgeon will discuss realistic expectations with the candidate and will address the candidate’s concerns. During Surgery When plastic surgery is performed, particularly rhinoplasty, an anesthetist administers a general anesthesia to the patient. The surgeon creates a pocket just large enough to snugly fit the implant. Typically the implant is created according to the shape of the face. To create the pocket, the surgeon creates an opening just inside the nose. After the implant is inserted the pocket is sealed. After Surgery A splint is placed to support the newly augmented nose such that the nose retains the new shape. Some swelling and soreness will present and for this reason, the surgeon will provide prescriptions. Additionally the patient may use cold compresses to alleviate any discomforts. Lying with the head elevated will help the nose to heal. After about two weeks, dissolvable stitches will be gone and so will the swelling. Patients are usually able to return to normal activities two weeks after a rhinoplasty plastic surgery. Risks A patient who has had only one rhinoplasty usually presents no issues except perhaps in the case of patient dissatisfaction. Conversely, patients who have had several surgeries may experience issues such as implant displacement, infection and scarring.
