Do Chinese eat dog?
Actually, yes, there is no law to prohibit. But in most of situation, this got be regarded unmoral, especially for dog keepers. However, from most of people who have eaten dogs, they always say cook dog with chafing dish way is the best method to enjoy. For chafing dish, it meant, make a pot with water and Chinese flavourings, to cut dog meat as pieces, and put a fire (for now, people use electric or gas) under the pot, to rinse meat in pot as a few seconds you can get it out, put on some sauces, it is good. Personally, I am a dog keeper, I hate that..

What to put in a toad's cage?
Put branches in there, and make sure the cage is moist. It is optional to fill the cage (shallow) with lukewarm water. If you decide not to fill the cage (shallow) with lukewarm water, then take a small dish and fill it with lukewarm water. Then put a small food dish inside for bugs/mealworms/crickets. (the crickets will usually hop out anyways, but mealworms and pellets won't!)

Dpse the shap of the container affect how much water is lost?
I think you are talking about evaporation. yes shape effects a lot if container has a narrow surface, evaporation is slow and vice versa, to understand this let us take an example. take a glass full of water and put this water in a flat dish. now refill the glass and put both containers in air. What do you think which will evaporate soon? of course from the dish because of more surface area.
