EXPLAINING FOR A 1993 Z28 CAMARO AUTOMATIC
the filter is located in the transmission pan. the pan looks similar to the oil pan, but bigger and right nxt to the transmission. once you locate it, remove all bolts around it except for the four corners. slowly losen the two bolts closest to the rear of your car. you will then notice the fluid start to leak out. once you have the bolts halfway out, start losening the other side. make sure you have a pan to capture the fluid on the ground. be prepared to get dirty because its a messy job. once you have the pan off, you'll see the filter and just simply pull it off. take your new one and push it in there and make sure its in there nice and snug. clean your entire pan with soething that doesnt leave a residue. i used brake caliper cleaner. now just bolt your pan back on. my 93 z28 camaro automatic holds five quarts of tranny fluid. for putting fluid back in(FOR AUTO ONLY), place a funnel in the dipstick tube and fill it from there. hope this helped
