On the 4.2 L I6 the very front of the engine is #1 and the last in the back is #6
First cylinder in front on drivers side.
It is the forward-most cylinder on the passenger side of the engine.
The front one.
That's the forward-most spark plug on the passenger side.
Huh? This would be the 5 cylinder engine? No # 6 spark plug? Or the V8? What year vehicle? Need more info, sorry
1st cylinder up front on the drivers side is #1.
umm, 8?
Assuming this is a V-8, Chevrolet's #1 cylinder would be the first one in front on the drivers side bank.
The number one cylinder on any 4 & 5 cylinder is the cylinder at the front of the engine. On a GM V6 & V8 it is the front cylinder on the driver's side.
passenger side are cylinder numbers 1,3,5, and 7 drivers side are cylinder number 2,4,6, and 8 firing order is 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2
If you have spark on #4 it is probably a faulty fuel injector.
the number 1 cylinder is on the left side (drivers side) all the way up front. (closest to the water pump/fan)
