To change alternator belt on a Suzuki Swift, first disconnect the negative cable from the battery terminal. Then disconnect the electrical wires going to the alternator and remove the bolts holding the alternator to the frame. Slip off the old alternator belt and replace with another. Finally, put back all the bolts and cables previously removed or disconnected.

The 1.2 petrol engine is chain cam.
Changing the alternator or removing and installing the belt should not cause excessive stress or wear on the belts.
The alternator bolts need to be loosened so that the alternator can slide and take pressure off of the belt. Remove the old belt (any belts blocking passage may have to be removed as well.) Remove then replace the belt, and move the alternator to the side to tension the belt while tightening the bolt. Reconnect the battery.
i believe its in the black casing behind the belt. i.e hard to get too.
The alternator on a 2004 Suzuki Aerio can be removed by first loosening the retaining bolts and taking off the drive belt. The alternator is then fully unbolted and pulled from the engine.

Check volatages everywhere, there could be a short somewhere. Also, check the tension on the belt that drives your alternator. That belt might be slipping due to a faulty tensioner and not spinning the alternator fast enough.
