Replacing it is easy enough. Either 4 or 6 cylinder. Drain the water from the tank. Your gonna replace it later with fresch fluid so you dont need to keep it. Just follow EPA laws for your area. Remove the fan covers and then the fan and clutch assy. THis allows you room to work. Remove all the belts and get them out of the way.
On the 4 cyl you now have easy access to the water pump. Just unbolt it and pull it off. Clean the area good and then reinstall the new pump and gasket. I use a little silicon to help hold the gasket in place on the water pump. THis makes the cleaning of the motor easier next time. Now snug down all the nuts and bolts and torque them as needed.
On the 6 cyl you will need to remove the timing cover by removing the top hose attachment. Then remove the 2 covers over the timing belt. You now have access to the water pump. Remove its nuts and bolts in the same way as the 4 cylinder and clean and replace.
Reinstall the parts you removed and fill with fresh water. THen flush this out and reinstall antifreeze and water.

Answering "How do you replace the water pump on a 1994 Toyota Camry?"
When doing a drain and fill on a Toyota 4 Runner, it takes about 4.5 quarts to refill. It is important to use the correct type of transmission oil.
No, different frame.

It's right at the bottom of the blower motor behind the globe box...
I recently replaced the timing chain on my 1994 Toyota pick-up. That cost me ~$800 parts/labor.

A compression check and cylinder leak-down test should tell you the condition of your engine.
