Best Answer

The air conditioning pump in a car is charged using a gas that is sold in a aerosol can. Each make of vehicle takes a different type of Freon. Some vehicles cannot be recharged without the help of an automotive mechanic.

What is it called when you charge a liquid with gas?

Aerate or aeration.

Why is hot air blowing out of your AC?

Air conditioners use the physical properties of compressing gas into liquids and letting these liquids decompress back into a gas. When you compress a gas into a liquid, heat is formed. When you decompress this liquid, cold is formed. Your AC compresses gas outside the house (makes heat) and then lets the compressed gas (liquid) enter into the house side of the AC. On the house side, the liquid is decompressed (makes cold). The decompressed gas goes back outside the house and the process is performed over and over again.

Amount of energy required to charge from a liquid to a gas?

it depends

Which states of matter has a charge?

All the states of matter have charge. Solid, liquid and gas all have charges of positive or negative.

What exactly is an ac compressor?

An AC compressor is part of an air conditioner which may be used in a car's AC system. The compressor is used to change the pressure between the AC's compartments in order to help condense the refrigerant gas back into a liquid.

Ac not working on 1999 leganza ac light comes on but no draw on the engine could it be a relay?

it will need a re-gas,but get the system tested a re-gas should cost about 50 pounds and you should get test free of charge

Is electricety a solid liquid or gas?

No, it isn't any of those. But it is the flow of charge(positive, negative ions!)

What is the process from a liquid to gas and gas to liquid?

liquid to gas is called evaporation and gas to liquid is condensation

Why does the ac compressor kick on and off?

The AC Compressor will kick on and off to maintain approx 32 psi on the suction side of your Air Conditioning system. This creates a continuous cycle of Freon which will change from a Liquid on the suction side into a Gas on the Pressure side. During this exchange from Liquid to Gas cold air is created to cool your space.

How the ac work?

AC uses electric power to transport the heat from the inside of the house to the outside of the house. AC uses a special gas/liquid that cools down when expanded and heats up when compressed. The gas is expanded inside the house, it cools down, takes on the heat from the air in the room. The gas is then moved outside the house where it is compressed, heated and releases the heat.

What would cause an ac compressor to cycle on and off repeatedly on a 2000 dodge ram?

The ac system is probably low on charge. You may have a leak in the system and have lost most of the 134R gas.

What has a positive charge if it loses an electron but has a negative charge if it gains an electron?

Any solid, liquid, gas, atom, molecule, object, or space that started out electrically neutral.
