Dateline NBC - 1992 Consumer Alert Speed was released on: USA: 20 March 2001
The speed.
Drive at the posted speed limit, be alert for any changes in traffic patterns, follow any directions given by flaggers or signs, and be prepared for sudden stops.
The speed.
Speed alert is based on transmission output shaft RPM and engine RPM. Older vehicles require magnets to be attached to the drive shaft where the rotation of the shaft causes an induction in a pick-up coil then the small voltage pulses are amplified. Newer vehicles have these sensors built-in to the wheels and are called VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). In both cases, the impulses are read then await calibration from the operator. For example, the driver accelerates to the the prefered speed, let's say 65 mph, then presses a button or adjusts a control so that the speed alert chimes. The preset speed is now stored. The next time the speed alert module reads the same parameters, VSS and engine RPM, it will alert the driver. There are also GPS based systems but they also require the VSS for accuracy.
Speed Demons!!!!!
Yes, momentum changes when speed changes because momentum is directly proportional to an object's velocity. When an object's speed changes, its momentum will also change accordingly.

That depends on the speed. Choose a suitable speed, then divide the distance by the speed. If the distance is in kilometers, and the speed is in kilometers/hour, then the time will be in hours. That depends on the speed. Choose a suitable speed, then divide the distance by the speed. If an object's speed changes, it means that it is either speeding up or slowing down. If an object's direction changes, its velocity changes as well, as velocity is a vector quantity that includes both speed and direction. These changes in speed and direction are typically caused by forces acting on the object.
The speed may, or may not, change. Acceleration means that the velocity changes; this means that either the speed changes, or the direction.
Yes, when an object changes speed, its acceleration changes. Acceleration is a measure of how quickly the speed of an object changes over time. So, if the speed changes, the acceleration of the object will also change.
