Christian only believe and follow Jesus Christ as Lord. The worship of anyone else is idolatry. Roman Catholics, mormon, and Lutherans do not follow biblical doctrine. Biblical Christianity worships God in His 3 persons. The Father, the Son, the Spirit. Prayer or worship to anyone else is idolatry
Once called 'The Way' and later 'Christian' both after its founder Jesus Christ, a person wishing to be a Christian must first repent of all previous ways of life and sin and be baptized as a new creature who agrees to follow (imitate is the meaning of disciple) Jesus Christ (see Acts 2:33-41).
God and Jesus Christ.
------------------------ John's Gospel talks of a 'disciple whom Jesus loved' but does not identify that disciple. The second-century Church Fathers noticed that whenever the book talks about the disciple, it does not mention John and, on this evidence alone, decided that this disciple must therefore be John. Like all the New Testament Gospels, John's Gospel was written anonymously, but the Church Fathers came to the conclusion that the author must be the 'disciple whom Jesus loved' and, since they had decided this disciple to be John, the Gospel author was the disciple John. The second century reasoning was merely conjecture and is not accepted by modern biblical scholars. If the 'disciple whom Jesus loved' was closest to Jesus, we still do not know who that disciple was.
Accept Jesus Christ as you savior and live life as God would want you to.
Main goal is to spread the gospel. Jesus told His disciples to 'go into all the world and make disciples'. For a person to become a disciple of Jesus Christ they must first respond positively to the gospel.
The rapture is Jesus Christ coming back for His bride, the Church. So yes, you must be a Christian to be taken in the rapture.
To be saved, you must believe in Jesus Christ as your savior and accept him into your heart as your Lord and Savior. This belief is based on the teachings of the Christian faith.
Jesus clearly said that to be disciple of his one must be ready to forgo both family and friends as well as wealth to be a disciple of his, all must be forsaken to follow him. Even wen a man said I will bury my father and come , it weas not correct.
The important qualities any disciple of Jesus needs (now or in the past) are: available: A disciple must be available, able to be used. teachable: God is always teaching His disciples. About Himself and themselves. faithful: A good disciple must be faithful to do as taught.
The word "Christian" means "little Christ" - in other words, a follower or copy of Christ Himself. A Christian then is one who follows Christ and models him or herself after the ways of Christ. Jesus said, if anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross. It's not easy, but it's worthwhile.
Well, there was no year 0 (zero), so it must have been 1, the first year of Jesus Christ's life.
To be classed as a Christian, one must believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. There are no practices that a person must follow to be classed as Christian. The practices of Christians vary between different church's, However some of the practices are similar throughout the Christian faith:Congregation: all churches meet on their holy day (usually Sunday) and partake in religious worship (which is different for each church).Prayer: Christians believe they must pray to God. This can be at a variety of times and for many different reasons.Bible and Way of Life: The New Testament contains the story of Jesus and Jesus' lessons. Christians strive to follow these lessons and live as Jesus teaches.Communion: This is when bread and wine is given to Christians as a symbol of them eating the body and blood of Christ. Most churches do this. This is what most of the churches of the christian faith practice, however there are many practices that individual churches follow. For many Christians, there are also a spiritual practices that must be followed (they cannot just follow the rules, they must be connected with the Lord).Additonal Comment:To become a 'disciple' of Christ - Christian - one must do what the word means and become an imitator of Jesus' life and works. All true followers belong to the Church that He brought to mankind which He called His 'little flock.' To become a christian, one must believe in God, follow in the footsteps of Jesus and love thy neighbour.
