There are a number of catalogs available on line. However, most of them require a subscription for full access. Mystic Stamp company has a nicely illustrated catalog of US stamps on their web site.

∙ 14y agoCatalogs online are usually not a scam. Check the company that is offering the catalog. Usually these are there to sell you stamps. When valuing stamps remember a couple of key things:
- They are out to make a profit
- They buy stamps for a fraction of what they sell them for.
- Stamp dealers don't deal in single copies of stamps worth pennies, too much overhead which cuts into their profit.
- They tend to be pretty honest about values. You can shop around, but unless they have a specific customer in mind, they are going to be pretty consistent in price.
