Lifestyle programming or workplace health promotion programs are classified into three categories: screening, education and behavioral change. These types of programs may offer such choices as on site fitness facilities or subsidy programs. Components of an effective employee-sponsored health promotion should include employee education for health promotion/disease prevention and management training. Examples of Lifestyle programs would be smoking cessation, hypertension screening, nutrition, weight control and physical fitness programs.
The American Lung Association has offers online for free smoking cessation programs that focus on behavioral patterns. Or you can ask your doctor for more information on other free programs.
