Hello,

Hard drives, flash drives, CD's, & DVD's all have varying ranges as far as storage capacity goes as they all come in a variety of sizes. The answer to your question would be better served if I knew what you were looking to store on them, but I'll take a shot at it as it is.

Hard drives usually provide the highest range of storage and best value for your for your money, however, unless you have a computer to connect it to, a hard drive won't be able to handle your storage needs most of the time if you are looking for something that you can put on a shelf somewhere until you need it. There are "portable" hard drives that would be able to be unconnected from your computer, but they are usually pretty pricey.

Hard drives come in all different sizes, although lately, with the large size of drives made available today, the smallest one readily available would probably be a few hundred Gig, and they can go all the way up to a few Terrabytes.

Flash drives are probably the most popular method for quick easy storage today. The most common sizes start at about 2 Gig and usually top out around 32 - 64 Gig. At large discount stores like Walmart you can expect to pay about $1 per Gig. Flash drives are popular because you can store a wide range of stuff, from movies, to software programs, music, paperwork, pretty much whatever you can think of, on a small, easily transportable device.

CD's used to be the most popular way to store data up until flash drives came on the scene. The drawback to CD's is that they are usually only available in one size 750Mg. Their ability to easily be scratched, or broken is another drawback, in addition to only being able to access the information on them is via a computer with a CD reader. Another drawback to CD's is they are usually only one time use, you can get re-writeable CD's, but they are more expensive and many times you can have problems reading them on a different computer than the one that they were created on.

DVD's came along and became popular shortly after the CD's showed up, and their main advantage was that they had a much larger storage capacity, usually a little over 4 Gig, unless you got a double density disk which increased the storage capacity up to about 8 Gig. The main drawback to DVD's is the same as the CD's, scratching, breaking, and having a computer that had a DVD reader in it.

So to sum it all up, hard drives are best for really large storage solutions, but a bit on the pricey side for a portable unit, flash drives are usually your best bet for your money as long as whatever you are storing doesn't require more than 64 Gig, as far as CD's and DVD's go, they would be my last choice for a storage medium unless you were looking to create a video that you wanted to send to relatives or something along those lines.

I hope this helped and answered your question.

Mike

Where can one find the definition of CDRS?

You can find the definition of CDRS (Continuing Disability Review System) on the Social Security Administration's website or in the official Social Security laws and regulations documentation. It is a process used to review the status of individuals receiving disability benefits to determine if they are still eligible for assistance.

What CDR used for?

CDR stands for Call Detail Record and is used in telecommunications to keep track of information about phone calls. This data can include details such as call duration, origin and destination numbers, timestamps, and call quality metrics. CDRs are used for billing purposes, troubleshooting network issues, and analyzing call patterns.

How does cdr work?

CDR (Call Detail Record) is a type of data record that telecommunication networks generate for each telephone call or text message made through the network. It typically includes information such as the caller's number, the callee's number, the duration of the call, and the time the call was made. CDRs are often used for billing purposes and network analysis.

MUSIC cd-r works on the computer but not in the truck what is going on?

your CD does not have the ability to read cdrs or it has a copyright issue another possiblity is that the CD-R was not finalized when copied. By finalizing a CD, it in effect closes the CD so that a player knows when the info stops. since a CD player scans a CD upon insertion, it looks for the beginning and ending to know where to begin playing and stop playing. if not finalized, it reads it as one long continuous file and won't play it.

Does Social Security conduct CDRs on disabled people age 55 and over rated improvement not expected?

Yes. Everyone on Social Security Disability (SSDI) receives a diary date upon approval, when the SSA schedules a routine Continuing Disability Review (CDR). A diary date may be set for 18 months, 3 years, or 7 years, depending on the expectation of improvement. People over age 50 and/or those whose conditions are considered unlikely to improve, typically receive a 7-year diary. These may be conducted later than scheduled if the disability determinations unit in your state has a backlog of CDRs to contend with. If you do not reach retirement age within seven years of being declared disabled, you will probably only receive a short-form CDR approximately seven years after you are approved for benefits (not the disability date on your award letter). The short forms are scored by computer and are only reviewed by a live examiner if answers about earned income, activity and medical condition fall outside expected ranges. The Social Security Administration takes age into consideration when deciding whether a person should continue on disability, because older workers are considered less likely to acquire new skills. People approaching retirement age are rarely discontinued, unless they have worked above SGA or show substantial medical improvement.

What is complement determining receptors?

Complementarity determining regions (CDR), are antibody or T cell receptor regions where the molecule complements an antigen's conformation. Thus, CDRs determine the molecule's specificity and make contact with a specific antigen. CDR1 and CDR2 are found in the variable (V) domain, and CDR3 includes some of V, all of diverse (D) (heavy chains only) and joint (J), and some of the constant (C) domains. CDR3 is the most variable.A hypervariable domain, known for its unusually high level of sequence variation, exists as a flexible loop in CDR1. The hypervariable loops from each domain are brought together to create the antigen-binding site and thus determines the molecule's specificity.

Is a blank music CD-R different from a blank Data CD-R?

It depends: For computer CD-Recorder drives: No. They are exactly the same. However, when you burn the CD you can choose to burn it as a music CD or as a data CD. For stand alone CD-Recorders: Yes. Stand alone CD-Recorders will only record on a CD, that has its Digital Audio Music format. Stand alone CD-Recorders are very picky about which CDs you use. Stand alone CD-Recorders will not record on a data CD-R. A blank Music CD-R is designed for stand alone CD-Recorders. A blank data CD-R is more designed for computer CD-Recorders. However a computer CD-Recorder can either record on a Music CD-R or a Data CD-R.
