Lakes are usally bigger and if they are big enough you can water ski or go tubing. Boats can go there. Ponds usally are smaller and ducks, many fish and tadpoles and pollywogs are there. They are not really big enough for bigger boats.

Similarities = They are both Wet.

Differences = One's a Lake, and the others a Pond!

and i doubt you will find a lake in your back garden!

a lake is a bigger version of a pond that has more chances of having more living animals in it as well. pond is a smaller patch of water compared to a lake.
