∙ 11y agowell what happened was that she was wearing a dress and she usually uses pants and dresses up like boys so they asked scout where are her britches and scout said under her dress because she thought britches was her underwear so the ladies were asking her for her pants and scout thought they were talking about her underwear.then all the ladies laughed except miss Maudie unless scout meant to be funny
