Generally 30 days brings concrete to to specified compression strength. Concrete may take 30 years to cure.AnswerConcrete will harden to about 80% strength in 2-3 days and close to 100% strength in 28 days. Concrete driveways should be towards the latter end prior to driving on them. AnswerAs a former concrete inspector, I would agree with the first answer. AnswerConcrete takes 50 years to completely cure and then takes 50 years to break down
Hi there, I would use a 5-1 ratio of sand to cement and use a good mortar plastisier. Use plastering sand and mix well. Throughly soak the wall first and apply a light coat (scratch coat) Leave this to dry for a while and before it has completely dried, get the final coat on. Too much water on the wall will result poor bond between the Brick masonry and the plaster on account of lack of suction which is the primary mechanism by virtue of which the Cement Plaster will remain in position against the gravitational force.
In anarid region, concrete placed as a road slab or roof slab gets dried up in a very short time, say within 2 hours. This condition should be maintained for 24 hours or at least till the final setting time of cement at which duration the concrete will haveassumed the finalvolume.Normally curing is done for 28days at 90% of strength gain is achievedUntil maximum design strength is achieved (should be 28 days): Concrete does not gain strength by "Drying out". It gains it through a process known as hydration. The road slabs used as an example in the first post will still undergo hydration once water makes contact with the concrete. (rain). k.k
The simple answer is no. There a number of considerations to determine if laod bearing walls area required. Type of house and amount of storys. How the first floor is actually supported and is beneath open plan or not. Are Steels used (RSJs) to support the first floor so that the expanse is covered acoss the whole building. In these cases the steel is normally strong enough (bearing in mind the expanse ) to support a floor above. Building codes in the area where the building is Types of wall structure i.e. brick, block or wood

It depends on two factors. First the intensity of the hurricane and Second the strength of the BRICK HOUSE. No doubt, brick houses will not be easily destroyed as compared to that of wooden house, but the extent of damage will be more in case of brick houses...
