Cut, Copy and Paste is loosely based on the idea of making a collage. In computing terms, you use Cut when you want to move something. You are taking it from one place and putting it into another. Copy makes a copy so the original thing stays where it was and a new version or versions can be put somewhere else. Paste is the second part of the procedures of Cutting and Copying. Paste puts what you have cut or copied into the destination place or places.
