Condensation is when matter changes state from a gas into a liquid. Any type of matter can go through condensation, however, it most commonly refers to water. Condensation is also commonly talked about as a stage of the water cycle, when water vapor turns into liquid droplets suspended on tiny particles in the atmosphere, and forms clouds.
Gas to liquid
Condensation is the phase change in which substance change form a gas to a liquid.
Water to vapor and vapor to water are the results of evaporation and condensation, respectively.
Condensation is exothermic. Energy is released during condensation. Energy can not be "lost" but merely change from one form to another.
solidifying or freezing =)
Evaporation is the physical process where a liquid turns into a gas. The process of a gas becoming liquid is called condensation.
Changing state from a gas to a liquid is called condensation. It is a physical change. An example is dew forming on grass overnight.
condensation
Condensation is a physical change, as no new substances are being formed. It is only water changing from gas form to liquid form.
Condensation is the change of the physical state of matter from gaseous phase into liquid phase and is the reverse of evaporation.
Condensation may be physical or chemical depending on the context. Condensation is a physical change when it refers to the condensation of vapour on being cooled. In chemistry there are condensation reactions where two molecules react to form one larger molecule and these reactions are chemical changes.
The change of state from gas to liquid is called condensation or devaporization.
