If the ticking is coming from the top of the engine it is likely the Hydraulic (valve) Lash Adjusters.
A fresh oil change using a quality oil and ***an OEM filter from the dealership*** should clear the noise up within 15 minutes of driving.
Use of a non-OEM filter can cause valve train ticking noise.
