Christ was the son of a carpenter and Buddha was the son of a prince.
jesus
To show visual contrast between the two, as well as the contrast between Judas' soulful voice and Jesus' rocker style :)
Jesus is God graciously reaching out to man. Buddha is man striving to be godlike. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. - John 14:6
Religions were founded after both Jesus and the Buddha. Both leaders taught the highest moral truths, but the Buddha said that he did not wish to be regarded as divine, while John's Gospel shows Jesus declaring that he was God. Christians regard Jesus as as the Son of God and equally divine with God. However, Muslims regard both Jesus and the Buddha as prophets of Islam, but say that neither is divine.
Buddha and seniors?
A:No. The Buddha lived centuries before Jesus, in the Axial Age, and could therefore not have known of Jesus or made any reference to him.
There is a great deal of difference, Jesus only gives salvation, forgives our sins and gives us peace.Buddha does not give us this at all. Jesus is NOT the son of god
Buddhism started about 500 years before Christianity. In another way of looking at the question, the Buddha was about 80 years old when he died, the Christians' Jesus 30 or so.
One possible contrast to faith would be doubt. An example of which is illustrated in the discourse between Thomas and Jesus after the resurrection.
Nothing.
Jesus Christ, Buddha, Ghandi
Yes they are different.
