Just buy another car--I've got an '02 AWD and it has been a money pit! If I hadn't had the extended warantee, I'd be in the hole over $12k--and that's no lie! Here is the Cliff Notes version of work in 7 years of ownership:
Front hubs 4 times
Rear hubs twice
Brake rotors all around twice
Rear calipers twice
BCM twice
AC condenser twice
Moon roof motor twice
Transfer case once
Engine rebuild once due to chronic overheating issue
Electrical issues too numerous to quantify
It's a shame, because from a utility standpoint, it's a great car. From a reliability standpoint, it's a pock mark on the face of GM
