Could God have used evolution as a way of creating earth?

Not according to his word

Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

Evolution is founded upon dialectics, which is the reasoning of mankind (See Aristotle and Hegel)

Where most people get lost is not understanding there will be 3 earth iterations (2nd Peter ch 3), they completely discard the fact there was an earth iteration before the one you are existing in now, even though its documented in his word.

The other missing part is to not follow Paul's teaching 1st Corinthians 15 which explains how one exists outside the flesh

Finally there is Jeremiah 1 where our father makes it clear he knew Jeremiah before he was in his mothers womb (see 1st Corinthians 15) and ordained him a prophet before he was born.

By definition, God could not have used evolution to create the earth but, if there is a God, he could certainly have used evolution to create life on earth. In fact, several major Christian denominations now support this hypothesis. For example:-

The position of the Catholic Church: Pope Benedict has supported "theistic evolution" which considers that God created life through evolution with no clash between religion and science.

The position of the Episcopal Church: The Episcopal Church has said that the theory of evolution does not conflict with Christian faith. In 2006, the General Convention affirmed, via Resolution A129, that God is creator and added that "the theory of evolution provides a fruitful and unifying scientific explanation for the emergence of life on earth, that many theological interpretations of origins can readily embrace an evolutionary outlook, and that an acceptance of evolution is entirely compatible with an authentic and living Christian faith."

The Church of England is considering the possibility of apologising posthumously to Darwin, for its earlier condemnation of his theory

At the 2008 General Conference of the United Methodist Church , three petitions made the following changes to United Methodist documents:

  • Petition 80050: accepts evolution and corrects some ambiguities under "Science and Technology" in the Book of Discipline.
  • Petition 80990: endorses The Clergy Letter Project and its reconciliatory programs between religion and science and urges United Methodist clergy participation, in Resolution 11, "God's Creation and the Church" in the Book of Resolutions.
  • Petition 80839: creates a new resolution, "Evolution and Intelligent Design," in the Book of Resolutions: "The United Methodist Church goes on record as opposing the introduction of any faith-based theories such as Creationism or Intelligent Design into the science curriculum of our public schools."

The Presbyterian Church (USA) Office of Theology and Worship, 1969 GA-approved theological statement on the subject, evolution and The Bible, stated, "Neither Scripture, our Confession of Faith, nor our Catechisms, teach the Creation of man by the direct and immediate acts of God so as to exclude the possibility of evolution as a scientific theory." However, it appears that the Southern Presbyterians dissent from this view.

Although the Mormon Church has no position on evolution, it has produced a number of official doctrinal statements on the "origin of man". These statements generally adopt the position, as a church-approved encyclopedia states, "[t]he scriptures tell why man was created, but they do not tell how, though the Lord has promised that he will tell that when he comes again".

So, from a religious perspective, God really could have used evolution as a way of creating life as we know it. But what about the scientific perspective? Evolution occurred because of environmental changes that resulted in the survival of some members of a species because they had traits more suited to survival, and the extinction of other members of the species, gradually resulting in an evolution towards a more adapted new species. There is no guiding hand in this, and no design, so it is a little hard to argue that God used evolution in this way.

There are some Creationists and religious people who espouse a belief in God-guided Evolution. Other Creationists, given the difficulties in Evolutionary theory, hold that this is unnecessary and that a recent and more direct Creation is the truth.

According to the theory of the Big Bang followed by evolution, the Universe (and this Earth) resulted from random events stemming from natural laws, and life then developed by random processes, especially mutations.

The narrative of Divine Creation, which is contained in Genesis ch.1 and 2, states that God created the universe. This teaches us that God exists, that our lives and the world are not random, and that the created things may be assumed to contain vast wisdom in their beautiful and purposeful design. (In recent decades, this wisdom has indeed been partially revealed, through increasingly powerful microscopes.)
Evolution through random mutations, on the other hand, may be understood as implying that life is an accident, that perceived beauty and wisdom are ultimately purposeless, and that our instinctive yearning for the Eternal is just an electrical impulse in our brain.

Not according to the Word of God - The Bible. There are many passages showing that both Christ and the Apostles accepted the Genesis account of the creation. Jesus talked about "the beginning of the creation which God created" (Mark 13:19, Matthew 24:21).

Jesus had asked those who questioned Him: "Have you not read that He who made them (Adam and Eve) at the beginning 'made them male and female'?" (Matthew 19:4, Mark 10:6). Later the resurrected Christ referred to Himself as "the Beginning of the creation" (Revelation 3:14). Genesis gives the details on how humanity and the creatures were first made.

Churches of men have long considered the Genesis account as a unliteral writing that is merely poetic with a theological language. (Time international edition, Nov. 4, 1996, p. 59). The Catholic theologian Augustine who lived 354-430 AD is the driving source behind the modern Papal accepted 'theistic evolution.' Augustine "fused the religion of the New Testament with Platonic tradition of Greek philosophy" (15th edition, 1875, Micropaedia Vol. 1, "Augustine of Hippo, Saint," pp. 649-650). Little did Augustine know he was doing his followers a grave disservice by viewing parts of the Bible as allegorical while simultaneously incorporating into his teachings the views of the Greek philosophers.

God has directly answered the question of Creation, not evolution. Man continues to look beyond the Scriptures for another explanation since the early Greek philosophers probably being the first thinkers to toy with the notion of evolution as British physicist Alan Hayward once explained.

The true message of beginnings is taught by the true Church Jesus began. It is a 'little flock' that has been persecuted since it began yet it is prophecized to continue to the very end. What are some theories that are used to explain the origin of the earths moon?

Thee are three theories: 1) spin-off:when Earth was young and still cooling, a piece of Earth broke off at the eqautor while Earth was spinning rapidly 2)Capture-Earth captures a passing moon 3)Collision- A planet (orpheus) collided with Earth, creating fragments. The fragements came back together creating the new Earth with a moon. This is the accepted theory.
