Jesus actually was tempted, when he was living on this earth. It says in Matthew 4:1- Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil.

Jesus had been fasting in the desert for 40 days, then the devil came to him and said If you are really Jesus than turn those stones into bread. Jesus replied saying man shall not live on bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of the father. The devil tempts Him in other ways and still Jesus resisted it.

Some people might say well if Jesus was tempted than he sinned and if he sinned then he couldn't be God. Being tempted isn't a sin, it's what you do with that temptation that makes it wrong.

When does temptation become a sin?

Temptation becomes sin when you give into it. Some people think that temptation itself is sin, but that is not true. Jesus was tempted for forty days in the wilderness, and he was perfect - the only person to ever fulfil the law in every part. Therefore, he could not have sinned, which means temptation is not sin. Doing what you are tempted to do is sin.

Is temptation a sin?

Temptation itself is not a sin, as it is a part of human experience. It becomes a sin when one actively chooses to give in to the temptation and commit an act that goes against their beliefs or values. Resisting temptation can lead to personal growth and a stronger sense of self-discipline.

Is temptation the same of Sin?

No we all face temptation, but it only becomes sin if we give in to the temptation and do what we are tempted to do. As the Bible says James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. So only if we commit the sin we are tempted of will it be sin. Even Jesus the Son of God was tempted. Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession. Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. So even Christ was tempted, but did not give in the the temptation, and therefore had no sin. Hope this helps. God Bless!!

What does The Temptation of Christ represented?

The temptations of Christ represent the sin that is in man, for Jesus was tempted as we are, as the Scripture says in Hebrews 4.15. - For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.

What kind of sin is Jesus being tempted to commit in the desert?

The sin of Pride. In being asked to: a)abuse His Powers for His Own ends, b)exploit His Powers for the world to see, & c)seize high political power, the Devil tried to make Christ Think into Himself, rather than outside of Himself.
