They could accept an SLR magazine, which differs from the FAL magazine. While the SLR can also accept FAL magazines, I'm unable to find any reference of the same capacity being possessed by the L4. However, the width of the receiver would most likely prevent the Beta-C magazine - whether FAL or SLR pattern - from being able to insert into the L4's magazine well, as the Beta magazines are designed so that the saddles sit close to the sides of the relatively thin magazine well of the rifle.
