No.
Additional Information:
The balloon would easily expand enough to explode long before it left Earth's atmosphere. Then gravity would cause all the debris to fall back to Earth.
If the balloon was strong enough and did not explode, even then it would not float into space. Even a very light hydrogen filled balloon would become less and less buoyant as it rose into thinner and thinner air. (It's the old Archimedes Principle.)
Hot air balloons fly due to the principle of buoyancy. Heated air inside the balloon is lighter than the cooler air surrounding it, causing the balloon to rise. The burner inside the balloon heats the air, which expands and becomes less dense, lifting the balloon off the ground.
The universe is a big place, and there's any number of places a comet we've lost site of could go. It could fly off in to a distant reach of space, it could impact a planet or asteroid, or it could even fly in to a sun and burn up.
The balloon danced in the breeze, showing off its bright colors and playful nature. It seemed to giggle as it soared higher and higher in the sky, flirting with the clouds and reaching for the sun.
Put a straw in the end of it and blow into the balloon. That should make it fly straight although make sure you don't use helium and make sure there is as little of wind around as possible. From Matthew
Hot water blows up a balloon because it is taking up space. Second, Hot water gives off extra gas to fill up a balloon quicker.
its because of the gravity coming from the sun
Then it would either fly off into outer space or crash into the body it was supposed to orbit.
Because it have some gravity from space.
The Earth's gravity keeps our feet firmly on the ground.
Yes it does because of the new engines it just goes in to space about 20 miles off the earth
The first Space Shuttle, named Columbia, took off into space on April 12, 1981.
