No Maple Trees are not adapted to the Desert. They will not be able to survive.
Why Not?
The weather is too hot for them. They can only take a certain amount of heat and the heat in the desert is too high.
Cacti (plural of cactus) are one of the best desert plants, along with a huge list of low lying bushes and long grasses. If you get deep enough in to a desert then don't expect to find much. Foe example the Saharan dunes are very baron, there is nothing out there exept for some clumps of long grass in the shade of some dunes. As far as trees go there is none that I know in the desert, but there is a larger variety in some savana areas which are similar to deserts.
If you want an Autum Blaze MAPLE Tree... don't live in the desert. Please stick with native plantings.
No, the desert has a lack of water needed for growth as well as a lack of good fertile ground in which the tree would take route and absorb said water.
no
It is not the Maple leaves that spin as they fall. The seed pods are what are spinning. The pods fall away from the tree and some will germinate and grow.
Probably not...
The Maple has several adaptations, like most trees it drop its leaves to survive the winter time. The roots of a Maple tree are strong and extensively branched out and the fruit of the maple tree is adapted to catch wind.
the joshua tree survives in the desert because it has a very thick trunk to keep in water.
I believe not..
The Joshua tree has a very thick trunk to keep in water. Which in the desert that is very crucial.
certain types of moths pollinate it.
