I'm sure people could believe in some teachings, not all, of both at the same time.
Buddha and Jesus were both leaders of a very large group and both taught that they were very important men and should mean everything to thier "people".
Religions were founded after both Jesus and the Buddha. Both leaders taught the highest moral truths, but the Buddha said that he did not wish to be regarded as divine, while John's Gospel shows Jesus declaring that he was God. Christians regard Jesus as as the Son of God and equally divine with God. However, Muslims regard both Jesus and the Buddha as prophets of Islam, but say that neither is divine.
Buddha and Saint Francis of Assisi were both very spiritual men who led very non-violent lives.
Yes, it's true, Coptic Christians believe that Jesus has both a divine and a human nature.
Confucius lived in ancient China; Jesus Lived in ancient Israel. Confucius was a philosopher; Jesus Is the Messiah. Confucius was a politician; Jesus Was Not. Confucius died of natural causes; Jesus Was Crucified.
I know the difference between the two Buddha's but forgive me, for I do not remember the name of the type of Buddhism that uses each. (I believe one began with an M and the other a T) First off, there was a divide among the people if Buddha was a god or just a teacher. Those who thought he was a god went their own separate way to practice their religion based on Buddha (Siddartha Gautama) as a god. While the other group practiced his teachings as a great teacher and not a god. Therefore, the meditating Buddha represents the Buddhists who believed he was a teacher and Lord Buddha was a god.
Buddhism and Sikhism can both trace their origins back to Hinduism, just as Judaism, Christianity and Islam share common roots. There are some parallels between Hinduism, the Buddha, Judaism and Jesus, which are often cited. Jesus was Jewish, and Christianity is based around the teachings of Jesus. The Buddha was Hindu, and Buddhism is ba.sed around the teachings of the Buddha. Buddhism and Jainism/ for unanswered questions.Where pure soul reside and can that place can be fixed before his death.
Jews and Christains are related. They both believe in the Lord God. But the Jews only believe in the old testament ( Before Jesus was born). The christians believe in both the old and the new testament. To make this simpler the Jews didn't believe in Jesus but the christians did. Another name for Jesus was the messiah. Pronouced Me-Sigh-A.
Absolutely not! Catholics believe that Jesus was God made flesh. In other words, he was both God and man.
No. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior and Redeemer of mankind. He was not an alien, but both God and Man. You can learn more about what Mormons believe about Jesus at the "Related Links" below.
You can believe in man as a god if you believe that there is a higher god (or gods) who grant divinity to the man. Thus, the Romans believed that their emperor could become a god (divus, not deus, the word for a true god), and Christians believe that Jesus is both man and God.
