You don't wear tapers as jewelry. They thin out the middle of your lobe which may stop you from stretching up later. If you're at 12ga, you buy a 10ga taper. You only need one because after you use it for stretching up, you put a plug in.
first of all,you should not be using tapers to stretch your ears.use bondage tape.tapers are horrible for your ears. but,if you have to,use hydrogen peroxide.
Tapers aren't jewelry.. you have them in for about 10-15 minutes then change it with the plugs but don't take to long to change them. Tapers aren't made to stay in your ear for long or it will mess your ears up.
Yes. Vitamin E oil is perfect for lubrication while stretching. Its also good for lobe massages.
You wanna wait at least 3 months to start stretching. You don't want to wear plastic plugs or tunnels but tapers are fine only because you don't wear them. Never leave a taper in after stretching because it'll make a thin spot in your lobe because of the uneven weight.
Somewhat. I wouldn't get them though. People who wear tapers as jewelry are looked down upon by serious stretchers. A few minutes of research will tell you that you shouldn't wear them so it makes you look dumb if you do.
They will never stretch if you take them out, they need to be left in 24 hours a day so the tissue will stretch. If you have stretching questions you should go talk to your local professional body piercer for guidance.
Tapers are used to stretch the ears, so if you have tapers close to the gauge that your ears are currently, grit your teeth and push it through until it gets to the widest end and put the rubber rings on the taper to keep it in place. If the gauge of the taper is NOT near what your ears are currently, I wouldn't suggest pushing it through. If you do, it could cause your skin to rip and bleed, or your ear to split entirely, resulting in a blowout.
you use a taper, lubed up with sterile lubricant. You can purchase extremely pointy 3 piece tapers that are threaded with matching jewelry for an easy re-insertion from www.changemypiercing.com
You can use tapers to stretch them up but you can't wear them....for obvious reasons.
They are just tapers that react to a black light. Kind of like UV paint that glows.
If it's 18ga to 16ga, you can usually just lube up a 16ga piece of jewelry(with jojoba or vitaminE oil) and put it in. For anything larger, you'll have to use tapers.
