The nerves coming from all the senses and the nerves going to glands and muscles are included.The efferent division is divided further into the somatic motor nervous system and thesomatic nervous system which includes all voluntary motor pathways outside the central nervous system.

A sensory neuron transmits a nerve impulse towards the central nervous system. These nerve cells activated by input, transmits sensory information.
The nervous system takes in sensory information from the peripheral nervous system. This information is then directed to the central nervous system which then responds with a motor reaction that travels back to the peripheral nervous system.
