No. Salt water melts faster because salt makes the freezing point lower (meaning that it makes it less frozen and the temperature higher) so it can melt faster. Why do you think people put salt on the sidewalk when it snows?
FRESH/TAP WATER melts an ice cube (tap water) FASTER than salt water. This has to do with the density of the two types of water.
Salt water has more density than tap water. When the ice cube melts in salt water, then the fresh water which runs off of it floats on the surface of the water, near the ice cube. The run-off is very cold, and so the ice cube melts more slowly.
In fresh water then CONVECTION CURRENTS carry the cold (more dense) run-off water to the bottom, and warmer (less dense) water comes up to the surface, and into contact with the ice cube. This continues until the ice cube melts, and it causes the ice cube to melt faster.
Yes, it has a lower freezing point because of the salt/
salt water melts faster than normal water because the salinity eats away the ice, thus making it melt faster. i know this because i did for a science fair project once.
Because salt is a corrosive chemical.
fresh water doesnt have salt so it doesnt take as long to have the salt evaporate
because of the oxide nuetrons combining with salt and the electrons more quickly dieing from salt
The boiling point of freshwater is lower than the boiling point of saltwater.
Yes, ofcourse
No
Yes
Zinc will corrode in vinegar faster than salt water
Because salt is a corrosive chemical.
cuz saltwater is more dense than freshwater
There is much more saltwater than freshwater. All of the oceans are made up of saltwater for example.
Most lakes contain freshwater. From this fact, I'm assuming it is made out of freshwater, rather than saltwater.
the densities are different (Saltwater has a greater density than freshwater.)
nope saltwater
Saltwater,Saltwater rods are typically longer and stronger than freshwater rods. I personally use saltwater "Surf" rods for freshwater fishing.www.southernohiopaylakes.proboards.com
