In the instructions it should say how to program it to your own garage door. Much like a universal remote control for your television.
That all depends on how your opener programs - if its smart button learning or dip switch. http://www.clickerdepot.com/help-faq .. there is a good explanation there. You should also look at the instructions that came with the remote.
Yes, you can get a replacement from the company, or a universal opener from places like Home Depot.

To program your universal remote, you will need to know the brand of remote that you own. Once you have figured that out, go to the website of the manufacturer, and they will have instructions listed on how to program your remote.
I am not sure what brand your garage door opener is, but perhaps you should check with the company that made your particular garage door opener to make sure to get one that will work. If that is not an option for you, I did find that Walmart offers a universal garage door opener remote. The garage door opener can be programmed into any car. The control works like a TV remote that is universal. The opener just needs to be mounted to the interior of the car.

Full instructions are listed in your owners manual
Almost certainly it does. There are many universal remotes so you will need to follow the set up instructions with the remote to configure the remote to operate with your model of television. Some instructions are better than others - read them carefully and follow each step for a successful configuration.
you have to know the specific code for the dvd player you are using... it should come in the instructions that came withe the controller, or search online the code for it if you don't have the instructions! Hope it helped!
