It depends on how old you are as to the acceptability of the age gap. A good rule to go by is: half his age and add 7. Now if you are at least that number in years, then it's okay. For example, if he is 20, then the girl should be at least half of 20 plus 7, which is 17. However, if he is 40 then it's ok for the woman to be only 27. Aristotle came up with this hundreds of years ago, and I rather like it because as you get older and mature, the age gap tends to matter less.
