I would personally go with Lenovo, but they are about equal. If I could get any laptop, though, it would be an Acer. :)

Even though Dell is better known throughout the USA than Acer, they have a long history of good, sturdy hardware. Both companies are good, but it depends on what kind of laptop you want and the features included with it. Dell is much better than acer. acer has bad software, I'm telling you from my experience.
