Read the Code of Conduct.
The Real Estate Code of Conduct affects estate agents by setting ethical standards that promote transparency and accountability. It enhances client trust and credibility, leading to better relationships and repeat business. Compliance reduces legal risks by clarifying responsibilities in advertising, disclosures, and client fund handling, ultimately improving operational practices and reputation.

Honesty....Honesty....Honesty!!
The term Realtor® is a registered trademark of the National Association of Realtors® and designates members of its local and state Associations of Realtors®. Not all real estate licensees are Realtors®. All state real estate licensing agencies require that real estate agents, or licensees, must hold some type of license in the state they conduct brokerage. If a California licensee wishes to conduct real estate broker in Connecticutt, s/he must have a Connecticutt license.
The Code of Conduct is necessary to regulate the activities of Estate Agents, thereby protecting the public in their dealings with Estate Agents. Improper conduct by Estate Agents, if reported or detected, will be investigated by the EAAB. Every agent is required to register with the Board and receives a Fidelity Fund Certificate every year, without which he may not operate. It helps to create an environment where all agents are required to behave ethically, by being transparent, honest and acting with integrity and most of all acting in accordance with the Code of Conduct.
