Electronic devices are made up of heavy metals like lead, mercury, cadmium, beryllium, PVC etc. If one throws e-waste in the dustbin it leads to landfills. It may leach out toxins in the soil and pollute the environment and groundwater. Electronic devices are components that are made of raw materials. So, recycling e-waste would be the better option and it leads to less energy. The fact of extracting metals and plastic from e-waste is to make more electronics but it is not at all easy.
