Describe a visit to a famous capital city?

Be informative, but don't get bogged down with statistics and facts (did you know that there are 4,000 miles of tarmac in King's Cross alone? No, I didnt, and quite frankly I dont care).

Instead, begin your visit from the start, try to describe the sudden feel of change as you get of the Bus/Train/Plane: The feel of the air, the smell, the sound of the city.

As you move along chronologically (in the correct order, just in case you didnt know) tell little stories of what you came across, what rude/funny/kind characters you met and talked to, what lovely little shops you found, how things have changed since you last visited (unless this is your first time, in which case describe what you weren't expecting, or what you was expecting but let you down)

As I said above, dont get into statistics, instead mabye say how you came across, say, the London Eye in London, tell people what you did and what happened, and mabye an odd fact or two that you found out, don't go off and Google it!

All in all, try to get across what you felt, take the reader on your emotional journey.
