The exhaust gas recirculation valve (EGR) takes combusted gases from manifold and recirculates them into the intake. This step helps moderate harmful NOx and CO emissions in gasoline and diesel engines.
Dodge was able to meet the emission requirements with out an EGR valve. Nothing replaced it.
There is no EGR valve on a 2000 Honda CR-V. The emission system used in these vehicles did not require an EGR.
An EGR valve reduces oxides of nitrogen. Cat converter reduces high HC and CO
if you have a 2.2,most 99's dont have a egr valve, changed to a different to a different emission system in 99
The EGR valve was not needed. Dodge was able to meet emission requirements by fuel and timing control.
Egr valve is for emissions it reduces nox so will not be harmful to engine
Trouble code P0401 means: EGR System Malfunction Replace the EGR Valve
If you have looked for the EGR valve and cannot find one you may not have one, you may have an emission package that does not use the EGR valve. I would suggest getting it looked at to see if your car has this package.
They are both part of your emission system
i think the code p1400 means exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) system/ evaporative emission(EVAP)system- valve mulfunction i think the code p1400 means exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) system/ evaporative emission(EVAP)system- valve mulfunction i think the code p1400 means exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) system/ evaporative emission(EVAP)system- valve mulfunction
Fuel filter.Fuel filter.
It all depends on the production date of your Maxima. Federal emission Maxima 06-2000- 06-2001 are EGR delete.
