The various Rhinos almost all carry at least one 'horn' on the tip of the nose. Some varieties, particularly both African types, carry another smaller horn behind this. These front horns can grow up to a foot long, and the rear ones to 5-6 inches. -These are not real horn connected to the skull bones. Without exception the 'horns' are in fact compacted keratin, very much like congealed, solid hair.
