Every movie has somebody who could technically be called a hero. Some movies have superheros but other than that every single movie has a hero or maybe even more then one. Finding Nemo-the dad. Avengers-The Avengers. Everyones Hero-Yankee. these movies all have heros that you wouldn always think are called heros but they still are(:
the main character, Charlie, and her best friend, nicole, are going to be in a play called "robin hood." they audition for the play but the only thing thats in their way is an eighth grade girl named, amber. amber is the popular girl in the whole school. at the audition charlie came up to the stage and sang. amber just stood there, laughing at her face. charlie ran off the stage, and she thought that everything is ruined. luckily, the director, lenore, decided to give her a small part "the woodland creatures." nicole was little john, amber was maid marian, and the hottest guy in school named kyle, was robin hood. the problem was that charlie had to pick up her little sister. when a rehearsal came up, amber didnt show up at all. lenore couldnt find anyone else to take her place. but then, she spotted charle in the trees. lenore told charlie to take her place for one audition. when she finished her part the only thing she saw was everyones jaws open, eyes widened and amber tapping her foot like shes gonna kill charlie. after many rehearsals came by, it was time for the real deal. amber was practicing her voice, but her throat wouldnt throw out a note. lenore decided that charlie should take her role in the school play. she thought this is the best play ever.
The conflict in the book PRETTIES is people vs.government and technology. Tally and her two friends Zane and Shay were determined to find who or what the government has been doing to the pretties to upgrade them and why. For example Tally finds the letter that the government and Zane hid from the PRETTIES to find that everyones health may be at risk. This conflict with the government and technology reminds me of the movie Lemony Snicket The Series Of Unfortunate Events because there are hidden secrets and take it one step at a time to uncover the secret of the Baudelaire's family and friends and finally after everything they take different risks to reach there final answer of the secret. The reason why I related these movie/ books is because they had the same stages of difficulty but each time reaching the same goal by taking it one step at a time and finding there answer. Lemony Snicket and PRETTIES both have you thinking what will happen next where are will this take them. For example in Lemony Snicket the children travel from Count Olaf's mansion to they're "aunts" and Count Olaf finds them again and in the PRETTIES Tally, Shay and Zane travel thought epidemics and get caught each try and every plane. This story is people vs. government and technology because Tally, Shay and Zane find out how the government has been using the technology to turn UGLIES into PRETTIES which affect PRETTIES health. These are my connections and why I know this is a people vs. government and technology. By: Jaimie Tufford
